Tips for trending on LinkedIn (How I did it)
Whenever, your post got trending in LinkedIn, you will receive a notification like this 👇👇What do trending on LinkedIn really means?
When you receive a notification that your post has been trending for a hashtag, it means that piece of content (specific post) is shown to LinkedIn members outside your network/connections. It means, it appeared in feeds for a longer amount of time than most of the other posts using that hashtag. And, users following the hashtag may get a notification to specifically read your post!
Ways to increase your chances of trending on LinkedIn:
1. Post quality content
Always share quality content through your posts. It means that you should share helpful content and explain the topic well within the word limit. Use keywords, when someone will search for a topic containing using that keyword, then your post will be shown to them. Hence this will increase reach of that post.
2. Post content that encourages engagement, and interact with the comments
LinkedIn algorithms are different than other social media. Comments should be reciprocated by a comment in response. Have a chat (on topic!) right there in the thread. Most importantly, LinkedIn urges us to “give response to commentators and encourage back and forth.” You also can ask a question in the last of your post, so that more people will answer to that and this will increase engagement on your post.
3. Follow hashtags on topics of interest to you and your industry
If a connection uses a hashtag that you also follow, it gives an extra boost to the posts connected with that hashtag. Using hashtags that your connections follow or use will increase reach of your posts that contain those hashtags. So follow those LinkedIn hashtags related to your industry.
4. Use hashtags in your posts
Use hashtags related to your posts, this will give your post a place in the feeds of your connections and outside your connections too. This will increase engagement on your posts and this will give your post a chance to trend on LinkedIn.
5. Add a photo or video to your post
I have experienced that the post which have an image or video are more likely to receive reactions and comments. This makes sense from a user's side. It’s hard to scroll past a post in your feed that contains an image or a video, or an image of a person you know, without tapping the reaction bar. And if you post something with a photo and tag some people you know, they’re sure to respond.
You can tag people in your images too, but not in a video. For a video, you have to tag people in your post content using '@', commonly at the last of your post content. Add an alt tag too for letting the people know what your post is about if your image doesn't show/appear due to a network issue or anything else.
Hope this will help you to make your LinkedIn posts trending.
Please drop your views on this post, and also tell me the topics on which I can post in future.
Thank you...
